Updated Grading Policy

Beginning this upcoming (20/21) school year, we will issue certificates to students who have satisfactorily completed work in MA classes. This will:

  • Provide records of completed coursework

  • Provide accountability

  • Help ensure the continued academic integrity of our programs

While number grades are not a sufficient reason to motivate studies, we do believe that most assignments should be attempted. Our teachers take great pains to plan quality work-- no fluff. At the same time, we want to leave room for your family to pursue additional interests or complementary projects, so for the 2020/21 school year we are setting a very achievable benchmark of 70% completion. Students must meet this requirement in order to be issued a certificate. We reserve the right to deny readmission to students who are not consistently completing coursework.

ALL assignments will be turned in and graded on Google Classroom. If you are not familiar with this platform, we will provide training at our August 5 parent meeting. Each teacher will provide specific information on evaluation standards and classroom expectations at that time.
