WHAT IS A LIVING LIBRARY?

"To introduce children to literature is to install them in a very rich and glorious kingdom, to bring a continual holiday to their doors, to lay before them a feast exquisitely served. But they must learn to know literature by being familiar with it from the very first. A child's intercourse must always be with good books, the best that we can find."

-Charlotte Mason

We believe that children (and adults!) are intellectually and spiritually nourished with the best available books.

At Montgomery Academy, we are building a living library to share with our families at no cost.

Families are able to check out items for a two week period.

We are also happy to receive book donations each month, on the first Tuesday of the month, when we meet for Morning Assembly.

We will then catalog, pass on to our families, or resell in order to expand our selection.
